It has come to my attention that there are a great deal of questions in this world that are grand and important. I am here to tell you that I am qualified to answer almost none of them. But I know quite a lot about animals, especially the various classes of Arthropoda, a few things about some fandoms, and a plethora of voluminous vocabulary words. I like to think I approach life with a certain amount of practical whimsy, I may or may not be the unholy offspring of a sasquatch and a leprechaun, and no, I will not marry you. (Years later, this description is mildly embarrassing but not untrue, and I am too lazy to write a better one - Author’s Editorial, Circa 2020)

#to show my excitementTravel deep enough into the woodland, and you may stumble upon the mistlefoot. While usually good natured creatures, the mistlefoot are extremely protection of the trees they live with. A hostile intruder will find themselves pelted by glue-like berries and toxic clouds of pollen.
Despite protecting trees from outside harm, the mistlefoot themselves are parasitic and suck nutrients out of the trees they say they love. Mistlefoot view their parasitism as more peaceful then predation, as they never need to kill their food source.
When nourishment and shelter is not a concern, mistlefoot fill their days with music, romance, and mischief.
There will be some more updates when I figure out how to get the display to work better, because I am very new to this and APPARENTLY it's a bad idea to make a game 2000x2000 and browsers don't know how to scale, but in the meantime if you're willing to zoom out a ways I made the draft available through this link. For now, I have been sitting on the computer for about nine hours now trying to get it all finished and exported for @myfirstgamejam's deadline in a few hours, and I just realized I forgot to eat lunch AND dinner, so the remaining display issues are just going to have to wait
If anybody has any suggestions on how to get this damn thing to scale or whatever, please comment or reblog

It's no "Elden Call of Zelda: BloodSoul Kombat Halo" or whatever but for somebody that knew zero programming two weeks ago I'm pretty fucking proud of this
